The Sam Noble Museum at The University of Oklahoma inspires minds to understand the world through collection-based research, interpretation, and education.
In November 2023, the Fifth U.S. National Climate Assessment (NCA5) was released, highlighting how climate change is affecting us now, how it is expected to contribute to more and greater climate extremes in the future, and how actions that we take now can reduce personal and societal risk. This talk, presented by Dr. Renee McPherson of the Climate Assessment of Oklahoma, will overview climate change across the south-Central U.S., with an emphasis on ecosystems, cultures, and societies in Oklahoma. The presenter was the Lead Author for the NCA5 chapter on this region.
