SUMMARY:Spike’s Club: Taking Flight
DESCRIPTION:(Ages 6-11) \nSpike’s Club is a weekly after‑school adventure designed to spark curiosity and ignite a lifelong love of learning. Every Thursday from 3:30 to 6:00 p.m.\, children ages 6–11 are invited to the Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History for an afternoon of hands‑on discovery. Parents can drop their kids off knowing they’ll be immersed in a safe\, enriching environment led by experienced museum educators. \nEvery session explores a new natural or cultural history theme through interactive activities\, behind‑the‑scenes access\, and hands-on encounters with real museum objects and specimens. Participants could examine fossils\, learn about cultural artifacts\, conduct experiments\, or explore behind-the-scenes to see how a museum really works. \nThis installment of Spike’s Club is all about Taking Flight. Children will soar into the science of biological flight\, discovering how birds\, insects\, mammals\, and even extinct creatures took to the skies. Through experiments\, observations\, and creative exploration\, they’ll uncover the many remarkable ways that life has learned to fly. \nCost: $95 for the full four-week session ● Registration for this session closes on April 7. \nThis program includes a drop-off window from 3:30 to 3:45 pm and a pick-up window from 5:45 to 6:00 pm.
