The Sam Noble Museum at The University of Oklahoma inspires minds to understand the world through collection-based research, interpretation, and education.
Join us for a free, public reception for the SPEAK: Speak While You Can exhibit, guest curated by artist Tony Tiger (Mvskoke / Sac & Fox / Seminole) and featuring the work of more than 30 fellow Native American established and emerging artists with roots in Oklahoma. The exhibit showcases printmaking, painting, photography, installation, mixed media, and textiles that materialize the intimate connection between language and culture, and the critical engagement by artists in the revitalization of their cultures and languages through their creative practice. The reception will include remarks by exhibit artists along with light food and refreshments and visits to the Brown Gallery.
