Get ready for the museum’s first fall public program! Monarchs at the Museum will be a three-day event, held from 9 a.m. to noon and 2 to 5 p.m. on Wednesday Sept. 23, Thursday Sept. 24 and Saturday Sept. 26.
Visitors will get a chance to learn about butterflies native to Oklahoma and monarch butterfly migration, and even receive a special packet of wildflower seeds to take home (while supplies last)! Visitors can also enjoy a special butterfly-themed scavenger hunt, an interactive monarch mural, a photobooth and a “create-your-own” Lepidoptera suncatcher craft. All activities are free with general admission, and visitors are encouraged to “wear their wings!”
Advanced registration for admission is required. Visitors can book tickets online at samnoblemuseum.ou.edu or by calling the Visitor Services department at (405) 325-7977. Admission is limited, so purchase tickets today before they all fly away!
