The Sam Noble Museum at The University of Oklahoma inspires minds to understand the world through collection-based research, interpretation, and education.

(Ages 6-8)
Calling all young explorers! Join us from June 8-12 for an unforgettable summer camp experience at the Oklahoma Museum of Natural History. Each week‑long, three‑hour session of Summer Explorers is led by experienced museum educators and features unique themes packed with hands‑on activities, experiments, and plenty of opportunities to discover something new.
This week’s program, designed for children ages 6 to 8, teaches campers how to be Nature Explorers.
This off-site program begins at the Sam Noble Museum before leading campers into the great outdoors to discover what’s living in our local parks, ponds, and streams. We will visit several natural areas around Norman to search for critters of all colors, sizes, and shapes.
It’s the perfect way for kids to meet new friends, get out of the house, and make summer memories that last a lifetime.
Every Summer Explorers camper gets a free camp T‑shirt to commemorate their adventure. Be sure to choose your preferred size when you register.
Booster seats are provided for children 9 and under and are available for children over the age of 9 upon request of parents/guardians. Participants should be dressed to get wet and dirty, and must bring a water bottle.
Full Week Cost: $150 ● Registration for this session closes on June 5
