Adults Insect Safari and Macrophotography Workshop
Saturday, May 4, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Don’t miss professional macro-photographer and artist, Thomas Shahan, as he leads a workshop all about photographing arthropods! Join Shahan as he discusses what equipment to consider, the use of extension tubes and how to build and use your own flash diffusers. Learn all about lighting techniques that will make your subject truly stand out against their surroundings. In the classroom, Thomas Shahan will give a brief introduction to arthropods and their safe handling, then teach you how to get close to your subject through lenses and camera settings. Bring whatever equipment you have (camera, phone, SLR)-we’ll teach you how to use it to your best advantage! Then, we will go outside to capture some photographs of arthropods. Deadline to register is April 25.
