Join us this summer for exciting new classes and, of course, the old favorites! Experience science first-hand through a variety of discovery-based programs offered at the Sam Noble Museum for children ages 4 to 14 and families. All classes are taught by trained staff.

Experience everything the museum has to offer in an action-packed week of fun! Explore our exhibits, enjoy outdoor games, adventures and science experiments, create crafts and make memories. Each day will feature different activities on-site at the museum and outside on museum grounds. Campers are required to bring a lunch and two snacks for each day of camp.
*Extended care is offered between 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. for an additional fee of $50 per week.

How many dinosaurs can you name? Discover what ancient creatures roamed Oklahoma through games, songs, crafts and lots of fun for you and your little one! This is an indoor program. Deadline to register is May 21.

Join us for an investigation station! Experiment and explore through games, songs and crafts as you and your little one learn about the wonderful world of bubbles. This is an indoor and outdoor program. Deadline to register is June 25.

Bugs and Slugs

They’re in the air, in the water and even under your feet! Prepare to get dirty as we burrow into Norman parks for everything that’s creepy, crawly and cool! This is an outdoor program. Deadline to register is May 31.
2 to 4 p.m. Monday, June 17 – Friday, June 21
Do you know what’s living in our local parks, ponds and streams? Join us as we explore parks in Norman to search for plants and animals of every color, size and shape. This is an outdoor program. Deadline to register is June 7.
8 to 10 a.m. Monday, July 8 – Friday, July 12
Are you ready for the stickiest, stinkiest and slimiest investigations? Do you want to conduct the coolest, craziest experiments? Join us and become an expert in grossology. This is an indoor program. Deadline to register is June 28.

Get ready to grow up wild! Learn about your favorite baby animals and the different ways they survive. This is an indoor program. Deadline to register is July 5.

Are you on the hunt for fossils? Explore fossils of all shapes and sizes as we investigate dinosaurs and their relatives, just like a paleontologists! This is an indoor program. Deadline to register is July 5.

Slime and Scales I

Spot a slippery salamander or touch a tiny turtle! We’ll study scaly and slimy animals in their natural habitat and learn how to safely catch and handle them. This is an outdoor program. Deadline to register is June 7.
Weird and Wacky Science
11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, July 8 – Friday, July 12
We’ll create concoctions, make gooey ooze and try out exciting experiments! Join us as we see what happens when science gets wacky! This is an indoor program. Deadline to register is June 28.
Cool Cretaceous Creatures
11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, July 15 – Friday, July 19
Hang out with some of the greatest dinosaurs of the Mesozoic era! Join us for a journey back through time to the peak of the dinosaur age. This is an indoor program. Deadline to register is July 5.

Would you know what to do if you became lost? Be prepared to get down and dirty as we learn to use a compass, build a fire and search for shelter. This is an outdoor program. Deadline to register is May 31.
Slime and Scales II
8 to 10 a.m. Monday, June 17 – Friday, June 21
Explore the daily lives of reptiles and amphibians in their natural habitats. We’ll learn how to safely catch and handle these interesting animals, plus how and why we should protect them. This is an outdoor program. Deadline to register is June 7.
2 to 4 p.m. Monday, July 8 – Friday, July 12
Join your fellow scientists to answer the “why” and “how” about mysteries all around us! Conduct experiments and complete challenges during our week of curiosity and fun! This is an indoor program. Deadline to register is June 28.
Registration begins February 1 for members and February 15 for non-members.

Participants are required to bring any forms sent via confirmation email on or before the first day of the program.
Each youth participant will receive one Summer Explorers T-shirt each summer. The T-shirt will feature artwork from the cover of the summer flier and is included with registration. Please indicate your size when you call to register. Note: Family and 4-year-old program prices do not include a T-shirt for participants.

These classes will take place in the best classroom of all: the great outdoors! We will meet at the museum and travel in vans to local parks. Booster seats are provided for children eight and under, and are available for children over age eight upon request of parents/guardians. Participants should dress to get wet and must bring a water bottle.
These classes will stay on-site exploring the amazing galleries, collections and outdoor spaces at the museum!
Full Day Camps
Full day camps can be attended all day or exclusively in the morning. The half day option is offered at a discounted price and has limited availability. Participants must bring a water bottle, lunch and snack for each day of camp. Full day camps take place on-site and do not leave museum grounds. Participants should dress for outdoor activities and wear sunscreen.
Extended care is offered for full day camps. Drop-off and pick-up between 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. is available for an additional fee of $50 per week. Pick-up after 4:30 p.m. will result in an extended care fee for the week. Note: Pick-up after the extended care end-time will result in a late fee of $1 per minute.
