Summer Explorers: Paleontology 101

July 13, 2026 @ 12:30 pm - July 17, 2026 @ 3:30 pm

(Ages 9-12)

Calling all young explorers! Join us from July 13-17 for an unforgettable summer camp experience at the Oklahoma Museum of Natural History. Each week‑long, three‑hour session of Summer Explorers is led by experienced museum educators and features unique themes packed with hands‑on activities, experiments, and plenty of opportunities to discover something new.

This week’s program, designed for children ages 9 to 12, is Paleontology 101, the basics of it all!

Dig into the past and discover how paleontologists uncover the history of our planet! We will meet paleontologists, experience fieldwork simulation, and study real fossil specimens.

It’s the perfect way for kids to meet new friends, get out of the house, and make summer memories that last a lifetime.

Every Summer Explorers camper gets a free camp T‑shirt to commemorate their adventure. Be sure to choose your preferred size when you register.

Booster seats are provided for children 9 and under and are available for children over the age of 9 upon request of parents/guardians. Participants should be dressed to get wet and dirty, and must bring a water bottle.

Full Week Cost: $150 ● Registration for this session closes on July 10
