Summer Explorers: Pond Explorers

July 6, 2026 @ 8:30 am - July 10, 2026 @ 11:30 am

(Ages 6-8)

Calling all young explorers! Join us from June 15-19 for an unforgettable summer camp experience at the Oklahoma Museum of Natural History. Each week‑long, three‑hour session of Summer Explorers is led by experienced museum educators and features unique themes packed with hands‑on activities, experiments, and plenty of opportunities to discover something new.

This week’s program, designed for children ages 6 to 8, teaches campers how to be Pond Explorers.

This off-site program dives into the world of ponds and streams, where every ripple hints at something living just beneath the surface. Campers journey by van to the great outdoors and visit local freshwater habitats, search for wildlife, and discover the plants and animals that make these miniature ecosystems so vibrant.

It’s the perfect way for kids to meet new friends, get out of the house, and make summer memories that last a lifetime.

Every Summer Explorers camper gets a free camp T‑shirt to commemorate their adventure. Be sure to choose your preferred size when you register.

Booster seats are provided for children 9 and under and are available for children over the age of 9 upon request of parents/guardians. Participants should be dressed to get wet and dirty, and must bring a water bottle.

Full Week Cost: $150 ● Registration for this session closes on July 3
