Summer Explorers: Slime and Scales

June 1, 2026 @ 8:30 am - June 5, 2026 @ 11:30 am

(Ages 9-12)

Calling all young explorers! Join us from June 1-5 for an unforgettable summer camp experience at the Oklahoma Museum of Natural History. Each week‑long, three‑hour session of Summer Explorers is led by experienced museum educators and features unique themes packed with hands‑on activities, experiments, and plenty of opportunities to discover something new.

This week’s program, designed for children ages 9 to 12, dives into the world of Slime and Scales.

At this off-site program, Snakes, lizards, frogs, toads (and even butterflies!) take center stage as we explore the amazing adaptations of slimy and scaly creatures. Campers will begin their day at the Sam Noble Museum, then travel by vans to the great outdoors to observe animals up close, learn how they thrive in their natural habitats, and practice safe handling techniques under expert guidance.

It’s the perfect way for kids to meet new friends, get out of the house, and make summer memories that last a lifetime.

Every Summer Explorers camper gets a free camp T‑shirt to commemorate their adventure. Be sure to choose your preferred size when you register.

Booster seats are provided for children 9 and under and are available for children over the age of 9 upon request of parents/guardians. Participants should be dressed to get wet and dirty, and must bring a water bottle.

Full Week Cost: $150 ● Registration for this session closes on March 29
