As the state of Oklahoma considers naming a new state fossil, Sauroposeidon proteles, widely considered to be the world’s tallest dinosaur — the Sam Noble Museum is thrilled to showcase the dinosaur’s original holotype fossil specimen, along with the scientist who helped to discover and name them, Dr. Matt Wedel! Dr. Wedel will be participating throughout the event with demonstrations, public engagement, and a special presentation on the gargantuan dinosaur which might soon be Oklahoma’s new state fossil.
