Featuring a guest appearance by renowned paleontologist Dr. Matt Wedel! Step into a world of discovery and wonder at our latest Curiousiday: Collections Celebration! Explore some of the most amazing hidden treasures that are normally housed in our secure museum collections, away from public view. From live fossil preparation to rare and spectacular fossils, artwork and cultural objects, there’s something to captivate every curious mind.
ON EXHIBIT FOR CURIOUSIDAY: The Sam Noble Museum is thrilled to showcase an original fossil specimen of Sauroposeidon proteles, believed to be the tallest known dinosaur, along with the scientist who helped to discover and name them, Dr. Matt Wedel! Dr. Wedel will be participating throughout the event with demonstrations, public engagement, and a special presentation on the gargantuan dinosaur. Wedel will be host presentations with the public at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
All activities are included free with standard museum admission ($12 adult, $7 child). No registration required, tickets available at the door.
