Discovery on the Road Fund
We believe that distance shouldn’t separate the people of Oklahoma from their state’s natural and cultural history. Our Discovery on the Road program brings items and artifacts from our collections to the remote corners of Oklahoma in the form of traveling exhibits, ensuring that rural students and residents can see and experience their state’s heritage.
Oklahoma Native American Youth Language Fair Fund
Help us celebrate and protect Oklahoma’s rich Native American heritage. Contributions to this fund support the museum’s largest annual event—the Oklahoma Native American Youth Language Fair. By promoting the preservation of Indigenous languages and cultures through art, music, and storytelling, your generosity nurtures traditions that shape our state’s identity.
“Fossil Fuel” Fund
Fuel the next generation of explorers and scientists by donating to the “Fossil Fuel” Fund. This initiative provides vital transportation support to school districts across Oklahoma, making it possible for students to visit the museum for unforgettable field trips. If you’re planning a gift on OU Giving Day, consider donating at the top of the hour! You could win a $500 bonus for the fund of your choice by making the first gift for each hour of the day!
Why I Give
Share a social media post on Instagram the day before Giving Day (April 7) and explain why you support the Sam Noble Museum or your chosen fund. Your post may be selected by a panel of judges and awarded a $500 bonus for the fund of your choice! To enter, you must make a $10 minimum donation to your chosen fund, your social media profile must be public, and you must use the hashtag #ougivingday. Winners will be announced on April 8!
Favorite Place on Campus
Between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. on April 8 you can post a photo or video to Instagram and tell viewers why the Sam Noble Museum is your favorite place on campus! Use the #ougivingday and make a $10 minimum donation to enter, and a panel of judges may award the museum a $500 bonus for having the most creative post!
Most Gifts
From 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. on April 8 the Sam Noble Museum will aim to win the Most Gifts challenge for this selected time period. You can help us win a $1500 bonus by making a gift of any size ($10 minimum) during this time frame!
