The Sam Noble Museum at The University of Oklahoma inspires minds to understand the world through collection-based research, interpretation, and education.
With Halloween around the corner, the Sam Noble Museum is excited to host a free public screening of The Invisible Mammal, a feature-length documentary film about one of the season’s spookiest creatures: BATS! Learn about bat conservation, the dangers of white-nose syndrome, and how women in science are helping to protect these incredible animals. Stick around for an open Q&A session with local bat biologists and learn everything there is to know about Halloween’s favorite mascot.
This event will be held on October 27 from 6 to 8 p.m. (Doors open at 5:45 p.m.) and is co-sponsored by the University of Oklahoma’s School of Biological Sciences, the Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History, the Natural History Museum of the University of Central Oklahoma, and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
