The Sam Noble Museum at The University of Oklahoma inspires minds to understand the world through collection-based research, interpretation, and education.
Join us this summer at the Sam Noble Museum and experience science first-hand through a variety of discovery-based programs. Each week-long, two-hour Summer Explorers program (children ages 6-7, 8-9, and 10-12) features a different natural or cultural history theme.
THIS WEEK:
Nature Explorer (Age 6-7) – 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Discover what’s living in our local parks, ponds, and streams. We’ll visit several natural areas around Norman to search for critters of all colors, sizes, and shapes.
Slime & Scales (Age 10-12) – 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Explore the daily lives of reptiles and amphibians in their natural habitats. We’ll learn how to safely handle these interesting animals and why we should protect them.
Earth and Sky (Age 8-9) – 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
From rocks and soil to weather and stars, discover many wonders of our planet and the universe.
Cost: $80 (Member youth); $100 (Non-member youth).
Required program forms will be sent via confirmation email.
