The Sam Noble Museum at The University of Oklahoma inspires minds to understand the world through collection-based research, interpretation, and education.
Join us this summer at the Sam Noble Museum and experience science first-hand through a variety of discovery-based programs. Each week-long, two-hour Summer Explorers program (children ages 6-7, 8-9, and 10-12) features a different natural or cultural history theme.
THIS WEEK:
Nature Explorer (Age 6-7) – 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Discover what’s living in our local parks, ponds, and streams. We’ll visit several natural areas around Norman to search for critters of all colors, sizes, and shapes.
Fossil Fun (Age 8-9) – 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
That’s not “just a rock”! We’ll learn about the amazing plants and animals, including dinosaurs, that once lived in Oklahoma and other parts of the world.
-Ology (Age 10-12) – 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
What do scientists really do? Get an inside peek at a variety of science fields from Anthropology to Zoology. We’ll investigate with the help of museum scientists.

Required program forms will be sent via confirmation email.
