In 2022 OU visual arts students participated in a project to explore the world of scientific illustration, and represent wildlife through an artistic medium. The ability to capture wildlife and elements of the natural world through art can be beautiful, but it also plays an important role in scientific research. Throughout the project, the Sam Noble Museum made specimens from our collections available to student artists as references, and the results of their work were nothing short of astounding.
