Experience science first-hand through a variety of discovery-based programs each summer for children ages 4 to 14 and families. All classes are taught by trained staff. Please contact the education department at (405) 325-1008 for more information or for accommodations on the basis of disability. Don’t miss out! All cancellations must be received 10 business days prior to the start of the program for a refund or transfer to another program.

Be sure to check out our summer family programs and Scout workshops

Space is limited and advance registration is required. To register, please pay online or call the education department at (405) 325-1008. Participants are required to bring any forms sent via confirmation email on or before the first day of the program. Registration for all classes closes the week before the class is due to begin, provided the class hasn't filled early.

Outdoor Classes

These classes will take place in the best classroom of all: the great outdoors! We will meet at the museum and travel in vans to local parks. Booster seats are provided for children 8 and under and are available for children over age 8 upon request of parents/guardians. Participants should be dressed to get wet and must bring a water bottle.

Indoor Classes

These classes will stay on-site: exploring the amazing galleries, collections and outdoor spaces at the museum!

Each youth participant will receive one Summer Explorers T-shirt each summer. Please indicate your size when you register. Note: Scout and Family program prices do not include a T-shirt for participants.

Limited financial assistance is available for families who qualify. To apply, please submit a copy of your free or reduced lunch award letter to the education department.
