Leisman Localities (Collected or Examined)
Leisman, his lab and collaborators collected or worked with specimens/material collected from numerous locations. These locations were mainly in the United States, but also from other countries. Many of theses specimens from these localities are now in the L. R. Wilson Paleobotany and Micropaleontology Collection, Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History, Norman, Oklahoma, United States. However, some are in other repositories (usually either a museum or university collection).
We use the following abbreviations in describing the repository/collection that the specimens/material are owned and stored:

NMV-P = Palaeobotany Collection, Museum Victoria, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia
WUSTL = Collection, Washington University, St. Louis, Missouri, United States (unverified if collection still exists and abbreviation created for tracking purposes only)
Note: Abbreviations are the same as those listed in The Global Registry of Biodiversity Repositories (GRBio) unless no registered abbreviation or collection code was listed which are noted.
Some localities have multiple repositories listed. This means that additional material/collections from the same location/area that Leisman and his lab collected or worked with was deposited elsewhere. For the purposes of this locality list they are listed as the same location. On specific locality pages details as known or discovered on which specimens from these localities Leisman, his lab and his collaborators published on or indicated in notes at the various repositories will be provided, acknowledging the fact that they were associated with their research. This list does not include localities for specimens or coal balls for which we do not have enough information to place to a specific location or mine, however, they do appear on our listing of Leisman Coal Balls.
Before any sorting, we list the locations alphabetically in this order: county (except United States is listed first), state/providence, county, locality name. The columns are sortable by clicking on the heading. The first click to a heading sorts them alphabetically (A to Z)/numerically (1-25). The second click to heading sorts them reverse alphabetically (Z to A)/numerically (25-1). The third click to heading brings back to original sort order.
We are aware that Leisman, his students and his collaborators collected or worked with specimens/material from the locations listed in the table.
